Approved Ingredient List
A reference framework outlining ingredient categories and standards considered acceptable for verification under The Skincare Bureau™ program.
COA (Certificate of Analysis)
A document issued by an ingredient supplier confirming the identity and key specifications of a material, such as purity, composition, or quality parameters.
Documentation-Based Review
An evaluation method that reviews submitted ingredient lists, supplier documentation, and labeling information to confirm consistency and accuracy. The Skincare Bureau™ does not perform laboratory testing or clinical trials.
INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients)
A standardized naming system used globally to identify cosmetic ingredients. INCI names ensure consistency across product labels, supplier documentation, and regulatory references.

IFRA Certificate / IFRA Statement
A document provided by a fragrance supplier confirming that a fragrance complies with current IFRA standards for a specific product category and usage level.
Label Accuracy
The alignment between what appears on a product label and what is supported by submitted documentation, including ingredient naming, ingredient order, and ingredient-related statements.
SDS (Safety Data Sheet)
A standardized document providing safety, handling, storage, and hazard information for an ingredient. SDS documents are used for workplace safety, transportation, and regulatory reference.
Supplier Documentation
Records provided by ingredient manufacturers or distributors, which may include COAs, SDS documents, origin statements, allergen disclosures, specifications, or processing information.
