Core Standards

Accurate Product Information
The submitted ingredient declaration must accurately reflect the product formulation and identify the ingredients used in the product.

Complete Claim Disclosure
Brands must disclose all ingredient-related claims used on product labels, websites, and marketing materials for the product submitted for verification.

Documentation First
Every eligible ingredient claim must be supported by documentation appropriate to the specific claim being reviewed.

Consistency
Ingredient claims, product labeling, and supporting documentation should remain consistent throughout the verification period.

Published Standards
Every review is conducted against published TSB standards and applicable verification criteria to support consistency and transparency.

Ongoing Accountability
Verified claims remain subject to continued documentation support and periodic review to maintain verification status.
The TSB Standard
Brands must disclose all eligible ingredient claims currently used in connection with a submitted product. To qualify for TSB Verified™, each eligible claim must be verified, appropriately revised, or removed from use. Claims outside the scope of TSB verification remain the responsibility of the brand and are not covered by the mark.

The Skincare Bureau reserves the right to determine product and claim eligibility for the TSB Verified™ program. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance, review, verification, or authorization to use the TSB Verified™ mark. Eligibility requirements and verification standards may be updated as the program develops.
