How It Works
Apply for Verification → Approved → Submit Product → Documentation Review → TSB Verified
1
Submit an application to determine eligibility and ensure alignment with The Skincare Bureau™ standards (no cost).
2
Access is granted upon application approval, allowing brands to submit products for verification.
3
Submit product details, including INCI ingredient lists, labeling, and marketing materials for verification.
4
Claims are evaluated against submitted documentation to ensure alignment across ingredient declarations, labeling, and marketing.
5
Approved products are granted Verified status and may use The Skincare Bureau™ Verified Mark through annual licensing.
What to Expect
Membership applications are reviewed prior to approval.
Product verification timelines vary depending on documentation completeness and claim complexity. Our team works efficiently while maintaining a thorough, documentation-based review process.
What to Prepare
To begin the process, brands should be prepared to provide:
Brand and contact information
Product ingredient lists (INCI)
Documentation supporting ingredient or marketing claims
Supplier documentation (when applicable to claims)
Product labeling or packaging for review
IFRA Certificates or compliance statements for fragrance or essential oil components (when applicable)
After Verification
Verified products may display the Skincare Bureau™ Verified mark
The Verified mark may be used on product packaging, marketing materials, and product-specific webpages where the verified product is offered for sale
The Verified mark may not be used as a general brand mark or displayed on homepage-level branding
Use of the Verified mark is granted through an active annual license and is subject to renewal
Products are eligible for inclusion in the public directory
Brands build a portfolio of verified claims over time
Our Role
Verification is based on documentation review of ingredient claims.
The Skincare Bureau™ does not conduct laboratory testing or evaluate product safety, toxicity, or performance.
Our role is to assess clarity, consistency, and substantiation of claims based on the records provided.
